The common issues in remapping a vehicle equipped with DPF filters.
Today, working on a diesel vehicle equipped with DPF is really common and brings some problems with it if made without paying attention. The main one is linked to the temperatures of the exhaust gases, which can lead to annoying recovery and problems, including mechanical ones in the most serious cases.
How to solve this?
Intervene on the diesel maps by increasing the injected quantity and, at the same time, intervene on the injection timing maps, in order to anticipate the opening of the injector, giving more time to the fuel to burn everything and maximize the increase in performance, considerably reducing the exhaust gas temperatures.
As for the turbo, it is necessary not to increase the pressure too much at high rotation speeds: the anti-pollution filters, by preventing the escape of harmful substances, make it more difficult for the exhaust gases to pass, generating higher back pressures, which result in a higher EGT and to the possibility of recovery or, in the worst of the cases, of breakdowns!
Ensure maximum performance and maximum reliability by working with ECM and programming tools such as KESS3.
